Review of Product:  These were the most artistic looking chocolates I have ever seen.  They were shockingly beautiful, so much so that I honestly felt bad eating them! But I am glad I did for however beautiful they were aesthetically, they were even more delicious in my mouth! The 4 piece collection contains a creme brulee heart truffle, a raspberry chambord truffle, an extra-bittersweet Valentine truffle, and a pink champagne heart truffle.  Each one was more delicious than the one before.  They were super creamy and rich and while not very large in size, very satisfying.  These would make a great gift for a chocoholic or anyone who appreciates beautiful things.

I received a sample of this product to review at no charge but my opinions remain my own.

The CrazyStick, the Parfum’s origin.  Its ancestor was a perfumed unguent which the Egyptians used for therapeutic or cosmetic purposes. Women used these solid perfumes during their love rituals.
Our CrazyStick is inspired by this ancestral form and also by the traditional method of extracting the essences from raw materials known as enfleurage, which obtains a “concrete” or solid perfume, the very quintessence of perfume and a first cousin to the CrazyStick. A CrazyStick is THE PERFUME REVOLUTION! One CrazyStick is sold every 2 minutes in the world!”

Review of Product:  I received the set of 3 perfume sticks that contained the following scents:  In Love, Cherie Louise, and Vanilla Pom d’Amour.  I love how handy these are – they are small enough to fit in your bag with no spills or leaking! The perfume is a sold stick that you simply turn like a lipstick to get more perfume.  It’s a simple concept that works beautifully.  I like sweet smelling perfumes the best and the Vanilla Pom d’Amour is perfect for me! The other 2 had more floral notes to them which is not my thing.  I gave them to friends who both loved the scents – to each their own when it comes to perfume, right?

The twist-action ball pen is equipped with a large-capacity black refill in broad point. Get back to the basics of great writing with Mondoro! Every girl is looking to fill her keepsake box with a love note from that special someone but in this technology driven world, handwritten notes seem to be a thing of the past. Get your man an elegant pen from Faber-Castell so he can write in style in the boardroom and maybe it’ll inspire him to reach for the pen instead of that keyboard the next time he writes you a  love note.

Review of Product:  The Mondoro arrived in a nice white case, a stark contrast to the gleaming black of the pen iteself.  The end pieces are metal and the end result is an elegant and very masculine pen, the perfect gift for that special man in your life.  The barrel is shaped like a hexagon which makes this pen really stand out above others.  It fit comfortably in my hand and I found the writing to be smooth and even.  This is the kind of pen you would expect to see in the boardroom and definitely gives a boost of self-confidence to the owner.

Review of Product:   I received a DigiPix piece of art based on a photo I uploaded of my dogs.  I was sent a proof and made a few color changes and sent it back.  It turned out perfectly, I couldn’t be happier with the quality of the work and how unique it made a boring picture look! Valentine’s Gift Guide: Plantronics Bluetooth Headset

by nicolesnickels on February 6, 2010

image001Name of Product:  Plantronics Bluetooth Headset – Discovery 975

Price of Product:  $129.00

Where can the product be purchased:  Best Buy, Verizon stores, Apple stores, AT&T Stores, Radio Shack and Sprint stores as well as online

Description of Product:  ”Headsets keep loved ones safely connected behind the wheel. With more and more states cracking down on talking while driving, they will also make sure that special someone avoids a ticket.  The Discovery 975 Bluetooth headset ($129) was designed to be sleek and stylish. Voted Editor’s Choice by CNET in August, the 975 allows you to stay connected on the go without sticking an obtrusive gadget to your face.  The tiny charging case actually triples talk-time to give the Discovery over 15 hours.”

Review of Product:  I used to have a Bluetooth headset but promptly lost it (which is not like me!) and never bothered to replace it.  I know how dangerous it is to drive holding the phone and have been looking for ways to go hands-free for some time now.  I was hapy to receive this product for review and have been using it for several weeks now.  I am really picky when it comes to putting things in my ears and find headphones usually uncomfortable.  This headset was super comfortable and I’ve worn it for extended periods of time.  The carrying case is a nice added benefit  and I never get anyone asking me to repeat myself when I am talking using the headset.  You can definitely get Bluetooth headsets at much cheaper prices but you’ll get much less talk time and less comfort, 2 things I’m personally not willing to sacrifice.

I received a sample of this product to review at no charge but my opinions remain my own.

graffignamalbec07Name of Product:  Graffigna Centenario Malbec 2007

Price of Product:  $13.00

Where can the product be purchased:  at liquor and wine stores nationwide

Description of Product:  ”If you’re looking for a gift for the man in your life, why not create a candlelit dinner for two?  If his favorite meal includes any rich meat dishes (we bet it does!), like red meat or lamb, consider pairing it with Graffigna’s Centenario Malbec 2007 (srp $13). Complex with aromas of very ripe blackberries and black pepper, the palate it is smooth, with well integrated tannins that highlight the smoky, roasted and grilled flavors in rich meat dishes.”

Review of Product:  Red wine tends to give me a headache but I wanted to at least try this Malbec.  I served it with steak and was happy with the balance of richness between the meat and the wine.  The wine was strong but did not overpower the meat.  The finish was silky and left no aftertaste for me.

Name of Product:  Graffigna Pinot Grigio 200989582

Price of Product:  $13.00

Where can the product be purchased:  at liquor and wine stores nationwide

Description of Product:  ”If you’re not looking to cook this Valentine’s Day, but still want to give your date something they can enjoy as spring approaches, Graffigna’s well-structured Malbec makes a great gift. If your date likes grilled fish or drinking white wine, the Graffigna Pinot Grigio 2009 (srp $13) is very aromatic with notes of tropical flowers, peach and honeysuckle. It starts off silky on the palate and finishes with a crisp, brisk acidity and notes of nectarine, honeydew and citrus. As a sweet gesture, insert a note that says “To open on our next date” to guarantee another outing.”

Review of Product:  I am a white wine fan and this Pinot Grigio was delightful.  It was not overly strong and there was no bite from it.  Served chilled, it was refreshing and crisp and was the perfect accompaniment to the delicate fish dish I had made.

I received samples of these products to review at no charge but my opinions remain my own.
