My dog Cleo has suffered from anxiety issues for the last several years especially when riding in the car. It’s not car sickness, she just shakes and pants and overall is not happy, with her tail down the whole time. I was excited to hear about Vet’s Best Travel Calm which they bill as a “natural formula”.
The main ingredients in Travel Calm are vitamins such as calcium and potassium along with tryptophan (the ingredient that is in turkey that supposedly makes you tired) and ginger extract to soothe the stomach. Vet’s Best has a large line of natural dog and cat products such as healthy senior products, flea itch relief and even skin care regimens. I researched the ingredients in the Travel Calm and while I didn’t find it particularly made a difference with Cleo, it may help a dog with less serious anxiety!

I find when traveling with my dog if I bring water with me that will keep her cooled down and calm. It is important when dogs have winter coats in the summer time to keep them cool and comfortable
