Survey Spotlight – Week 4

by nicolesnickels on March 11, 2010

I have written extensively in the past about surveys and how I am able to earn money each month doing them. I haven’t mentioned surveys in a while now, but I wanted to revisit the topic. I am going to try to spotlight 3 survey companies each week. If you aren’t signed up with the ones I am mentioning, you’ll have the opportunity to. The more survey companies you are signed up with the more opportunities you will get!

I get emails and comments sometimes about people getting frustrated when they disqualify for surveys – you can’t take it personally! I disqualify for many of them, that’s why I recommend signing up with so many companies. Often, you don’t fit the demographic they need as they try to get a representative sample of the population.

The 3 survey companies I want to spotlight this week are:

1. Opinion Outpost – This is the first survey company I ever signed up with and cashed out with.  I definitely go in cycles with Opinion Outpost where I get a lot of surveys and qualify for them and am able to cash out several times per month. I once won the $50.00 instant win!

2.  American Consumer Opinion Panel - American Consumer Opinion Panel (ACOP) is a favorite because you don’t receive many surveys but you always qualify for the ones you receive because of the screeners.  You’ll be sent a very short (like 2 minute) screener and then if you receive the survey invitation you know you qualified.  I also once won a small sweepstakes drawing with ACOP! They send you the check immediately after you complete the survey, no cashing out requests needed.

3.  SayNation – SayNation consistently sends me 1-2 survey invitations per day.  I have cashed out several times with them for cash via Paypal and while it isn’t the quickest survey company to pay I have always received my money.  I find if I am going to disqualify with them it happens quickly and I do appreciate that.

If you’re new to surveys definitely sign up with a separate email address for surveys. It’ll make it easier to have an inbox you know will be filled with survey invites.

Survey Spotlight: Week 3

The 3 survey companies I want to spotlight this week are:

1. SynovateSynovate is a survey company I have been with a long time and receive a lot of product tests from.  I enjoy doing product testing so this is one of my favorites.  Survey emails come from “Marie Brighton” and you’ll receive a sliding scale of points based on how much of the survey you do and qualify for.  Payment is made via check.

2. MindfieldMindfield sends approximately 5 invitations per week so you won’t feel bombarded.  They have a large variety of survey topics and pay promptly.  I find I disqualify from many of their surveys but have a friend who loves them and does really well so I think it really depends on your demographic.

3. E-Poll – E-Poll sends surveys approximately twice per week only but I almost always qualify for them.  They are fairly easy surveys and the amount you receive is very fair given the time spent.  E-Poll pays by check.

If you’re new to surveys definitely sign up with a separate email address for surveys. It’ll make it easier to have an inbox you know will be filled with survey invites.

BeRuby: Get Paid to Visit your Favorite Sites

by nicolesnickels on February 26, 2010

I have been hearing about BeRuby for a few months now and wanted to try it out before posting it.  BeRuby is a FREE site to join that pays you for visiting your favorite sites.  You definitely won’t get rich from BeRuby but if you use it every day to access the sites you normally do (like Facebook, Twitter, gmail, and hotmail) you can do rather nicely with this site.

With BeRuby, just register for FREE and then access your favorite sites through BeRuby.  You’ll get paid via Paypal when you hit $10.00.  You can also shop through BeRuby but I have only been using it to access sites from so I can’t report on that feature except to tell you it’s available.

Survey Spotlight: Week #2

by nicolesnickels on February 25, 2010

The 3 survey companies I want to spotlight this week are:

1.   Toluna – The former Greenfield and Your2Cents have merged to form Toluna.  I receive several emails from Toluna each day to complete surveys and usually do the ones for points (not just sweepstake entries).  The interface is better than both previous companies had and the Toluna survey experience is enjoyable.

2.  SurveyheadSurveyhead pays via Paypal on a minimum $25.  I earned $10 for signing up and I think that is still valid.  The surveys cover a wide variety of topics and there are often higher value (i.e. $10-$25) surveys available in my account.

3.  Ipsos-I-Say -  Ipsos-I-Say sends approximately 5 survey invitations a week and even if you dont’ qualify you’ll receive 1 reward point and a chance to play their sweepstakes.  I qualify frequently for their surveys and payment is via check.

If you’re new to surveys definitely sign up with a separate email address for surveys. It’ll make it easier to have an inbox you know will be filled with survey invites.

The 3 survey companies I want to spotlight this week are:

1.  My Survey.  This is a favorite of mine.  You get credit for the screeners you take and then are advised if you qualify for the survey.  The recently changed their points redemption system and have always compensated fairly for the surveys.

2.  Lightspeed Research. I receive on average 1 invite per day with Lightspeed.  I cash out for money via Paypal and find that when I do disqualify, they are quick about it and it doesn’t happen after I’ve answered 20 questions!

3.  HCD Surveys.  This company does a lot of market research on current events and politics.  Their surveys are usually very short with nice compensation given the survey length.  My only complaint is that their surveys close quickly so act fast when you get an invite!

If you’re new to surveys definitely sign up with a separate email address for surveys.  It’ll make it easier to have an inbox you know will be filled with survey invites.

Nielsen Home Scan

by nicolesnickels on January 15, 2010

Nielsen HomeScan is looking for new members.  I have blogged about this program before.  If they accept you, you’ll receive a handheld scanner and computer software.  You’ll be asked to scan all purchases each week and then upload them via the computer.  In exchange for your time, you’ll receive points that you can redeem for cash and prizes!

This is an easy program but it does take some time to scan the items.  Kids have a blast playing cashier though and this is a fun “job” for them to do! I was a member of the program for a while and enjoyed it.  My free time is largely spent blogging now and so I returned the scanner to give someone else a chance to participate.

They are looking for people in certain areas of the country and they will tell you if it’s your area after you provide them some basic information.  It’s worth a shot to see if they are looking for new people in your area!

NPD Online Research

May 3, 2009

I have been a member of NPD Online Research for several months now. NPD is different from the other survey companies I have discussed so far in that for most surveys you are compensated in points which you can then enter in their “Sweepland” area. They let you know which sweepstakes you can enter into [...]

SurveySpot

April 29, 2009

I have a love-hate relationship with SurveySpot. I have made more money with them than with any other survey site. What’s the “hate” side of the relationship? Most of the surveys I do start out as “sweepstakes only”. A lot of them end in a product test, an invitation to a high-paying online forum survey, [...]

With MySurvey you accumulate [...]
