Which are The Best Credit Cards for Travel Lounge Access (2018)

Travel can be a stressful experience, however if you have access to the first class lounges available in all major airports this can be something to make the journey much better. If you have ever wondered how people get access to these lounges without having to pay a monthly fee then here are the best credit cards on the market.  Just remember that you don’t have to be a high-flyer to enjoy the benefits, just play the credit card game. The yearly fees can be expensive but their are ways to make it work for you. We always want to mindful of expenses so don’t over spend on your credit card just to get access to a lounge once per year. If you travel often then this is something to look into, see our choices below.

The Platinum® Card from American Express

First on the list for access to complimentary lounges is the card from Amex. The lounges are in all major US cities and offer free drinks as well as hot and cold food. There used to be free passes fro guests but this is not possible.

If you are flying Delta, you can also get Sky Club access which is also great for 2 guests. The Amex Platinum gives you access to so many lounges, high-quality lounges.

The yearly fees can be expensive but their are ways to make it work for you.

Citi / AAdvantage Executive World Elite Mastercard

The Citi AAdvantage Executive World Elite Mastercard comes with Admirals Club membership. A great perk with this credit card is that the access is also available for family members and two guests, fantastic.  Currently a great offer of 50,000 points for the signing up and spending 5,000 in the first 3 months.

United MileagePlus Club Card

Another card which we personally haven’t got but have seen advertised recently is the United Airline card which gives you access to all the lounges. The cost of this is $450 a year which is a bargain if you travel more than once a week.
